Afternoon tea parties, beach visits, assault courses, proms…and mock exams!😅

Well, it’s been quite the final half term of this academic year and we still have a couple of weeks left!

Current Year 12 students have been busy with Geography coursework research on the beach (who wants to do Geography next year?🙋🏻‍♀️) We also had an afternoon tea party to celebrate almost everyone passing their driving tests (and those who haven’t aren’t yet old enough to take lessons!) We’ve helped in the Assault Course Challenge to raise much needed funds for the RNLI Pembrokeshire. Most of Year 12 pupils have been on their mini internships at Dentists’ offices, Accountancy firms, Leisure and Tourism industry and our local MP’s office! Thank you to all organisations who’ve helped to make this such a success and a wonderful experience and insight into the working world for our sixth formers. Next week is mock exam week for our Year 12 group followed by a trip to Cardiff for the UCAS fair but more on that in the next blog!

Current Year 11’s have finally completed all GCSE exams and have had their leavers ‘do.’ They looked so lovely..and grown up 🥲 We are looking forward to welcoming them as the new Year 12 in September along with lots of lovely students from other schools. While there’s a National shortage of teachers, at Castle School our teachers are present, dedicated and passionate about supporting our students achieve their very best and succeed in every sphere of life. Another blog from me in a couple of weeks and then it’s officially summer!😎😎😎
